Dress To Impress
Wardrobe quickly sets a tone for a date. Your every article of clothing works together to pin a point on the scale of casual to formal, shy to confident, trivial to serious. A girl choosing a heel instead of a flat sneaker, or a man choosing a collared, button up shirt over a T-shirt lets his/her date know that they are interested in the opposite party and are working to impress them. The "nicer" a date dresses, the more invested in the relationship they appear. An earring is nicer than a bare ear, a pair of slacks is nicer than a pair of jeans. The more luxe an outfit, the higher the stakes. When you see a finely dressed couple touring the town you can bet they are still trying to solidify the relationship, or take it to the next level. They are upping their game. On the other hand, if you see a couple sharing a burger in their sweatpants and oversized T-shirts, odds are they are comfortable and confident in their feelings for each other. They do not think that they need to elevate their status in their partner's eyes. So remember, the overall look you pull out of your closet communicates a level of respect, excitement, and commitment to your date. Dress wisely.
